Probable cause
Normal Operation
•
The vehicle speed sensor outputs a pulse
signal while the vehicle is driven.
•
The ECU checks whether the pulse signal is
present.
Malfunction
•
Sensor output voltage has not changed
(No pulse signal) for 4 sec
•
Failed vehicle
speed sensor.
•
Open shorted
vehicle-speed
sensor circuit,
loose or wrong
connection

TO RECTIFY
Vehicle speed is displayed on dashboard and check
continuity from sensor to dashboard and if
continuity is ok
Replace vehicle speed sensor
if problem persists
Replace cluster
Vehicle speed is displayed on dashboard and check
continuity from dashboard and EUC
Remove intermediate onnector,
check pin connection,oxidation
or rust.
if problem persists
Replace ECU
