IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and/or injury to persons, basic 

safety precautions should always be followed when using electrical 

appliances, including the following:
1.  

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE CAN OPENER.

2.    To protect against the risk of electrical shock, do not put can 

opener in water or other liquid.

3.    Close supervision is necessary when any can opener is used by  

or near children.

4.    To disconnect, stop appliance and unplug cord. Unplug from outlet 

when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before 

cleaning.

5.   Avoid contacting moving parts. Blades are sharp.
6.    Do not operate can opener with a damaged cord or plug or after 

the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any 

manner. Return can opener to an Authorized Sunbeam Appliance 

Service Center for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical 

adjustment.

7.    The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the 

manufacturer may cause fire, electrical shock or injury.

8.   Do not use outdoors.
9.    Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or countertop or touch 

hot surfaces.

10.   Do not open pressurized (aerosol-type) cans.
11.   Do not open cans of flammable liquids such as lighter fluids.
12.    Do not use can opener for other than intended use or leave 

unattended while in use.

13.    Do not operate this appliance in the presence of explosive and/or 

flammable fumes.
