Setting Alarms

Load a POI file as described in ‘Loading an Enhanced POI file’.

Select those categories you want to be alerted to when approaching. (See Setting
Alert Parameters.)
Setting Alert Parameters
1.
Load a POI file as described in ‘Loading an Enhanced POI file’.
2.
Select
Alert Parameters
.
3.
Select the category you want to set the parameters for.
4.
Select the Detection angle by selecting the detection angle button and entering a
new angle [default is 45 degrees]. (This is the area in front of you that will be used
to see if one of your POIs is upcoming.)
5.
Set the distance for the first and last warning by pressing on their respective
buttons and entering the desired distance.
6.
Select
Save
when complete.
Creating a Route Using Enhanced POIs
1.
When an enhanced POI file has been loaded, access the Enhanced POI menu.

Select
Select category
.
3.
Select the POI category.
4.
Select
Nearest
(closest to your present position) or
Spell POI Name
.
5.
If you selected Nearest, select the destination from the Select POI list.
If you selected Spell POI Name, enter the first few letters for the desired POI and
press OK. Select the POI from the list.
6.
Select
Route
.
7.
Select routing method.
Saving a POI to your Address Book from Enchanced POIs
1.
When an enhanced POI file has been loaded, access the Enhanced POI menu.
