Checking the level of the transmission oil with the oil
dip stick

The level of the transmission has to be checked with the oil dip
stick in three steps after the initial operation or during the oil
change:
z Conduct an oil level check just before the motor is started
the first time after the commissioning or the oil change to
make sure that the filled in amount of oil is sufficient for the
cold check.
z Conduct a cold check after the first motor start and cold
transmission oil to make sure that the amount of oil is
enough for a reliable operation until the hot check.
z
Conduct a hot check when the transmission oil is at
operating temperature to make sure that the amount of oil
is sufficient for normal operation.

The oil dip stick is located on the right side of the transmission.
