2.5. NTC Sound:
Even using the system as a Sub-zone or as a Zoning System its necessary to install the sound temperature.
-
KCA-SUB (Sub-zone installation):
The NTC sound temperature should be installed in the supply duct to measure the air
temperature and position the system whether is working in heating or cooling mode. It should be installed in the main duct
assuring that the air always passes through the sound.
-
KCA (Zoning installation):
In that case, the sound measures the battery temperature and not the temperature that passes
through. Should be installed in contact with the battery but never in the return or the supply duct. The sound works as a safety
sensor and stops the AHU when the sound temperature is less than -4ºC or higher than 55ºC.
2.6. Power-free input (remote ON/OFF)
: This work as a normally-open voltage-free contact. They provide remote access to the
centre from domotics equipment, fire or smoke detection centres, etc. On closing the contact, the centre will carry out a switching off
cycle and will automatically reset if the contact re-opens.
3. CONFIGURATION:
The number of zones controlled by the board and the type of program carried out for the system must be
configured through the switches of the control panel. When any of the switches is modified, the control panel must be restarted to load
the new configuration.
3.1. Selecting No. of zones:
This must be configured
in all cases
where the
number of zones if different to 4 (default). From 2 to 6 zones can be selected.
With a screwdriwer rotate the rotary switch and select the desired number of
zones.
3.2. Selecting the program:
Only configure when operating with a different program from zoning installation (default). Using the Sw1
switch, placed in the right-upper part of the control panel, they could be activated different software programs of the zoning system in
function of the type of installation.
3.2.1. Sub-zone installation:
Without wiring de AHU to the control board. The sound temperature
it’s installed in the
supply duct and automatically detects the working mode of the AHU (heating/cooling). Place the Sw1 of the
control board as follows:
3.2.2. Zoning Installation (default):
Wiring de AHU to the control board. The sound is installed in contact with the
the battery of the inner unit and works as a safety sensor. The changeover between heating and cooling must
be made even in the MASTER thermostat of the Zoning System and in the AHU thermostat. Place the Sw1 of
the control board as follows:
3.2.3. Zoning installation. Pulse activation:
It works as the previous point but in that case the ON/OFF relay it
works as a pulse despite of working as a free-voltage contact. Only activate in the case of AHU which needs a
pulse to be activated (Ask to MADEL with the brand and model of the equipment used). Place the Sw1 of the
control board as follows:
4. THERMOSTAT CONFIGURATION
4.1. Positioning thermostats:
Distribute the thermostats in a significant place in each of the zones to be air conditioned. Place at a
height of approximately 1.5 m, avoiding direct sources of heat and undesired draughts. Avoid placing them close to metal items.
