PLEASE NOTE:
All saves which are deleted from your XBOX Memory Unit will be
lost forever, so make sure you want to do so or make a backup on your PC.
5) COPYING SAVES FROM XBOX TO PC
XBOX GameSaves can only copy saves from an XBOX Memory Unit, not the XBOX
hard drive. If there are any saves on your XBOX hard drive that you wish to copy to
PC, please copy them to an XBOX Memory Unit first. Refer to your XBOX manual for
details of how to do this.
There are two ways to copy saves from an XBOX Memory Unit to the PC. These are
both described below:
a) Copying saves using the Copy -> PC button
1. Attach the XBOX Memory Unit that contains the saves you want to copy,
to the supplied USB PC to XBOX Memory Unit Cable.
2. A progress bar will appear as the Memory Unit panel starts to show what
saves are on the XBOX Memory Unit.
3. Once the progress bar is complete, you can begin to highlight the saves
you want to copy to the PC. Simply put your mouse cursor over a save on
the Memory Unit Panel (Right panel) and click on it. The save will now be
highlighted.
4. Use the mouse to click the
Copy -> PC
button.
5. A
"Save As"
dialogue box will appear, asking you what you want to call the
save directory. A default directory will already be set up. If you want to call
the directory something different to the default name, type in what you
want to save as.
6. Use the mouse to click
"Save"
.
7. The saves will now be transferred to the PC, saved in the directory you
have just created. The original save will still be on the XBOX Memory Unit.
Tip
To transfer more than one game at a time between panels, simply hold down the
"Ctrl" button on your keyboard while selecting the games you want to transfer. All the
games will be highlighted. Now simply press the
Copy -> PC button
and all the
highlighted saves will be transferred.
b) Copying saves using the "Drag and Drop" method
1. Attach the XBOX Memory Unit that contains the saves you want to copy,
to the supplied USB PC to XBOX Memory Unit Cable.
2. A progress bar will appear as the Memory Unit Panel starts to display what
saves are stored on the XBOX Memory Unit.
3. Once the progress bar is complete, use the mouse to highlight the save
you wish to copy from the Memory Unit Panel.
4. With the mouse cursor over the selected save, press and hold down the
left mouse button and simply drag the save onto to the desired Group
Folder on the PC Panel.
5. Release the left mouse button and the save will be copied to your chosen
Group Folder. A progress bar will appear while the save is being transferred.
6. The save will now be transferred to the PC saved in the directory you have
just created. The original save will still be on the XBOX Memory Unit.
