4. Baseplate and cradle set-up
4.1
SECURING THE DSPS-PROMINENT BASEPLATE TO THE COUCHTOP
I.
Position the two dedicated DSPS-Prominent couchstrips on the couchtop.
For more information, refer to IFU147100 - CouchStrips and Sidepieces.
For use in MR, use the glass fi ber, MR Safe 3-Pin couchstrip.
II.
Position the DSPS-Prominent above the couchtop. Then, align the slots at the bottom of the
baseplate with the two couchstrips and carefully place the baseplate on the couchstrips.
4.2
SECURING THE DSPS-PROMINENT CRADLE TO THE BASEPLATE
(Cradle 113140 fi ts on DSCP S-Type and Realease baseplates, Cradle 113150 fi ts on
DSCP ExaFix baseplates and Cradle 113190 fi ts on the ExaFix-5 baseplate)
I.
Attach the DSPS-Prominent 113140 Cradle-I to the baseplate by means of the supplied Grommets
and Plungers.
II.
Attach the DSPS-Prominent 113150 Cradle-II and the 1113190 Cradle-V to the baseplate by
means of the supplied quickfacteners.
5. Mask set-up
• Follow your department’s patient positioning protocol.
• For DSPS treatments, there should be approximately one fi nger width in
between the cradle rim and the top on the patient’s head.
• When using a mask on a patient with long hair, place the hair in
a ponytail on top of the patient’s head.
• When an MR Head coil will be used in the treatment workfl ow,
the Mouldroom Tool should be used during mask moulding to ensure
that the formed mask will be able to fi t in the MR Head coil.
• Screw the Mouldroom Tool to the DSPS-Prominent frame.
