Debugging and Monitoring Applications
The View Applications panel lets you perform the following tasks:

To manually load an application instance, click New Instance and select the application
from the pop-up menu. The application must already be configured on the server. After
selecting an application to load, you can enter a name for the application instance.

To view information about a running application instance, select the application in the
list. The Live Log panel appears (see
“About the Live Log panel” on page 69
).
■
To terminate an application instance, disconnect all its users, and free any resources it is
using, select the application in the list and click Unload this application (small button to
the right of the panel names).

To sort the applications list by name, click the column header Name. To sort by client,
click the Clients column header.
■
To disconnect the management console from the server, click Logoff. You return to the
log-on screen (see
“Connecting the management console to a server” on page 66
).
Changing or pausing the refresh rate
The information in the management console panels refreshes at a default rate of every
5 seconds. You can change the refresh rate (to any time interval between 1 and 60 seconds) or
pause the refresh option at any time.
To change the refresh rate:

Click the pop-up menu next to Refresh Rate and select a new time duration such as
10 seconds.
The information in the panels refreshes every 10 seconds.
To pause the refresh option:

Click the pop-up menu next to Refresh Rate and select Pause.
A confirmation message appears.

Click Pause Refresh to continue.
A red border appears around the panels of the management console to show that the
refresh feature is paused.
To start refreshing information again, click the pop-up menu and select a time duration.
