4. About the Controls on the
Refrigerator
4.1 Control Settings
Initially, set the refrigerator control to the recommended setting. Al-
low 24 hours for the temperature to stabilize.
Several adjustments may be required. Adjust the refrigerator control
one increment at a time and allow 12 hours after each adjustment
for the refrigerator to reach the temperature you have set.
Setting the refrigerator control to Off stops cooling in both the
freezer and refrigerator compartments but does not shut off electri-
cal power to the refrigerator.
Control settings will vary based on personal preferences, usage and
operating conditions, and may require more than one adjustment.
Factors that affect temperature include the amount of food in the
refrigerator or freezer, the frequency of door opening and the tem-
perature of food when it is placed in the refrigerator.

5.2 Cleaning the Interior and Exterior of the Unit
• Remove all the shelves and the salad bin. To remove the salad bin
first remove the lower door shelf.
• Wipe the inside of the unit with a weak solution of bicarbonate
soda and then rinse with warm water using a wrung-out sponge or
cloth. Wipe completely dry before replacing the shelves and salad
bin.
• Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior, and then wipe with a stan-
dard furniture polish. Make sure that the door is closed to avoid
the polish getting on the magnetic door seal or inside the unit.
5.1 Defrosting
Auto-defrost for Frost-free refrigerator.
5.3 Cleaning Tips
Condensation may appear on the outside of the unit. This may be
due to a change in room temperature. Wipe of any moisture resi-
due. If the problem continues, please contact a qualified technician
for assistance.
