CHECKING

1)  Terminal wiring: Check that all cables are correctly con-

nected according to the connection diagram.

2)  Power input voltage: Check voltage across the terminal

7– 8 with a multimeter.

3)  Input: Check that the input signal is within 0 – 100% of

the full-scale.

If the thermocouple or its extension wires are broken, the

output goes over 100% (below 0% with downscale protec-
tion) due to the burnout function.  Confirm the status in-
dicator LED pattern and check leadwires in such a case.

4)  Alarm operations: Check the alarm operations referring

to the figure below.

5)  Output  load:  Check  that  the  output  load  is  250V  AC/

500VA or 125V DC/60W.  For maximum relay life with
inductive load, external protection is recommended.

LED FUNCTIONS

 STATUS INDICATOR LED

The  M6DXAT  is  provided  with  a  status  indicator  LED
which  flashes  in  different  patterns  indicating  various  op-
erating status.
The following figure indicates typical patterns.

 ALARM MONITOR LED

The  M6DXAT  is  provided  with  an  alarm  monitor  LED
which flashes in different patterns indicating various alarm
status.
The following figure indicates typical patterns.

MAINTENANCE

Regular calibration procedure is explained below:

 CALIBRATION

Warm up the unit for at least 10 minutes.

• H Setpoint

Increase the input signal from a value lower than the set-
point and check that the relay trips at the H setpoint within
the setpoint accuracy described in the data sheet.

• L Setpoint

Decrease the input signal from a value higher than the set-
point and check that the relay trips at the L setpoint within
the setpoint accuracy described in the data sheet.
When the setpoints are shifted, recalibrate the unit using
the PC Configurator Software (model: M6CFG).

LIGHTNING SURGE PROTECTION

In order to protect the unit from lightning surges entering
through power supply cables, use of appropriate lightning
surge protectors are recommended.  Please contact M-Sys-
tem.
