On-board Memory & Compact Flash

8 - On-board Memory & Compact Flash
OkyFly2 uses two types of memory:
- on-board memory
permanent memory.
- Compact Flash cards
rewritable electronic memories.
Differences
The on-board memory cannot be changed and in any situation
ensures the availability of about a hundred songs always ready
for use.
Compact Flash cards, on the other hand, are rewritable
memories slightly larger than a postage stamp, able to contain
(according to the capacity in MegaBytes) hundreds or even
thousands of instantly useable songs.
Separation
The two types of memory always remain separate –
i.e. backing tracks contained in the on-board memory cannot
be added together or transferred directly to the Compact Flash
card.
Control
The work of storage and cancellation of the backing tracks
on the Compact Flash cards can only be done using OkyWin
Gold, the very easy PC/Windows
®
software used with OkyFly2.
