The cursor
The cursor, i.e. the small arrow that
moves on the left-hand side of the screen,
allows to select an item from the list.
According to the
circumstances, it could be a
song, an artist, a function, a
parameter and so on.
Moving the cursor in the lists of songs
Using the
Up
and
Down
arrows, the cursor moves vertically,
scrolling through the songs one by one.
Moving the cursor beyond the first or last of the 8 songs
contained in this area, the previous or next 8 songs appear on
the screen.
This movement can be repeated until the beginning or the
end of the list of available songs is reached.
Using the
Left and Right
arrows, the cursor moves to
the first of the songs whose title begins with a given
letter of the alphabet.
This method is particularly useful for moving the cursor very rapidly, especially
when there’s a large number of songs (e.g. 500).
To further streamline movement, the cursor jumps the letters that have no songs.
For example, of there are no song titles beginning with D, E, F or G, the cursor
will pass directly from C to H.
