TESTING THE CONNECTIONS
Red Wire Connection (Continuous Power)
Reconnect the vehicle battery. Once the power and ground connections are made to the vehicle,
the following items should appear:
LED status light to the LEFT of the
interior-facing lens turns green for
approximately 30-35 seconds
LEFT status light turns off and the RIGHT
status turns red.
After an additional 30 - 60 seconds the
RIGHT status light begins to blink. (Can
vary depending on cell coverage and
signal strength).
OR
At this point the event recorder
does one of two things:
o
The RIGHT status light
turns green or
o
Both status lights blink
green and red (This
indicates the event
recorder is updating
firmware). During this
updating process it is
extremely important not to
remove power during this
stage.
Once the updating process is completed,
the RIGHT status light turns to green.
