Preparation
Unpack the JO-PC1 and inspect the package contents for damaged or missing components. If damaged, notify the
appropriate carrier at once and return any damaged components for immediate repair or replacement. See

a hardware bag containing the following items:

A grounding wire, with quick-disconnect 0.187” female connector.
Material and Tools Required
The following supplies and tools may be required for installation:
•
DIN rail, type NS35/7.5 (35mm x 7.5mm) and DIN rail end-clips (stop clips), recommended for any
installation.
Note
Length of DIN rail is determined by the number of optional DIN-mounted options.
on page 6 for more details.
•
Suitable screws and screwdriver for mounting DIN rail, or if DIN rail not used, for mounting bases of
JO-PC1 controller, the base JO-34 I/O module and optional JO-16 I/O modules.
•
#2 phillips screwdriver: used to install and remove optional communications modules.
•
Small flat-blade screwdriver: used for mounting or removing the JO-PC1 from DIN rail, also for making
wiring connections to RS-485 connector, and optionally LON and I/O connectors.
