4.1.4 Keypad Lock
Enabling the keypad lock on the phone can prevent the phone from being used by
unauthorized persons or accidental operations caused by accidental touches. When
the keyboard is locked, only emergency call numbers can be dialed. If you need to dial
other numbers, you need to unlock it.
Keyboard lock can be divided into types: Menu keys, Function keys and All keys
Menu keys
: Menu soft keys and programming keys are set as the menu keys are
locked, other keys can be used.
Function keys
: The function keys such as the direction navigation key, OK key,
Message key, Transfer key, Redial key, and 4 soft keys are locked. Other keys
are used normally.
All keys
: Except for the * key, # key, numeric keyboard, hands-free key, account
key, and volume adjustment key, all the other keys are locked. The dial interface
can only dial preset emergency numbers. You can answer the call by lifting the
handle, hands-free key, Headset key, answer soft key, and corresponding
account key. You can reject the incoming call through the reject soft key.
- To set the keypad lock through the phone interface
1. Press
Menu->Settings->Basic Settings->Keyboard Lock.
2. Enter the desired PIN (default PIN: admin) in the
Unlock PIN field
, and then
press the
OK
soft key.
3. If you enter the default password, you will be prompted to change a new
password. The password is using for to enter the phone keyboard lock
setting and unlock the keyboard.
4. Press

Switch
soft key to select Enabled from the
Lock Enable field.
