– Operating with dust extraction: Connect the
suction tube of the vacuum cleaner to the suc-
tion nozzle (3).
– Operation without dust extraction: Push the dust
collector (5) onto the nozzle (3).
Operation
Check before switching on!
Check the safe condition of the appliance:
– Check it for visual defects.
– Check that all parts of the machine have been
securely fitted.
– Make sure that the On/Off switch is not locked in
position.
Switching on/off
– Switching on: Set the On/Off switch (1) to posi-
tion [1].
– Switching off: Set the On/Off switch (1) to posi-
tion [0].
Electronic control of rotational speed
The appliance is equipped with an electronic rota-
tional speed control.
The rotational speed is infinitely adjustable (Rota-
tional speed range:
– Turning the speed regulator (2) clockwise
increases the rotational speed.
– Turning the speed regulator anticlockwise
decreases the rotational speed.
Grinding/sanding
– Clamp in the workpiece or hold it firmly.
– Switch on the product and press it against the
surface to be sanded applying even pressure.
– Always use constant motion and only use light
pressure.
Cleaning
Overview of cleaning
Regularly, depending on conditions of use
Empty the dust container
– Pull the dust collector (5) fully away from the rear
of the device.
– Press the unlock push butons (6) and keep them
pressed.
– Remove the lid (7) from the dust collector.
– Remove the filter mat (8).
– Empty the dust container.
– Re-install the dust container in reverse order.
Pay attention to the correct position of the filter
mat.
Malfunctions and troubleshooting
In the event of a malfunction…
Malfunctions are often caused by minor faults. You
can easily remedy most of these yourself. Please
consult the following table before contacting the
vendor. You will save yourself a lot of trouble and
possibly money too.
If you can’t fix the fault yourself, contact your nearest
vendor. Please be aware that any improper repairs
will also invalidate the warranty and additional costs
may be incurred.
Note:
The vacuum cleaner must be suitable
for the material to be processed.
NOTICE! Risk of machine damage!
The
motor can overheat when running at low
speeds under continuous heavy load. Cool
off the motor by running at high speed with-
out a load.
DANGER! Risk of death through electric
shock!
The machine must only be used for
dry sanding.
Note:
When working vertical surfaces, hold
the device in such a manner that the dust
sack faces downward.
Note:
Excess pressure does not result in
improved sanding performance, but
increases the wear on the appliance and
the sanding sheet.

Remove all dust from the
ventilation slits of the mo-
tor.
Use a vacuum cleaner or
a brush.
Clean the machine.
Wipe the unit with a
slightly damp cloth
Note:
Always empty the dust collector to
ensure optimum dust collection.
