Cleaning and maintenance overview
Prior to each use
As required, or every 50 operating hours
Cleaning the unit
Careful handling and regular cleaning ensure
that the device stays fully functional and effi-
cient over a long period of time.
• Remove dirt with a brush.
• Wipe the tool with a damp cloth.
• Keep ventilation slots clean and free of
dust.
Integrated cleaning function
• Connect hose with quick-coupling to
water connection (21)
• Do not exceed maximum cleaning pres-
sure of 16 bar.
• Establish water pressure by opening tap.
• Start motor and switch off motor after up
to one minute.
• Turn off tap.
• Detach hose from water connection (21).
Maintaining the unit
Clean the air filter
– Switch off the motor
– Undo the fixing screw (A).
– Remove the air filter housing (10)
– Remove the filter (B)
• Clean the filter (in water with washing up
liquid) and allow to dry or
• replace the filter.
– Mount and secure the air filter hous-
ing (10).
Check the motor oil level
– Undo and remove the motor oil filling
screw (5).
– Read the oil level off on the scale.
• If necessary, add motor oil and repeat the
process.
Clean/replace spark plug
– Remove the spark plug connector (8).
– Unscrew the spark plug.

Carry out
only the maintenance work
described here in person.
All other work, in particular motor
maintenance and repair, must be
carried out by a trained specialist.
Improper maintenance work can
damage the device and lead to inju-
ries.
NOTICE! Risk of product damage!
Do not tilt the product in the direction
of the air filter, as otherwise oil runs
into the air filter and the product can
no longer be operated perfectly.

Clean/replace spark

DANGER! Risk of injury!
Never
spray the device with water or
expose to water.
Never use cleaning fluids or solvents
for cleaning. This may irreversibly
damage the device. The plastic parts
may be attacked by the chemicals.

Prior to con-
ducting maintenance or cleaning:
– Switch-off the device.
– Close the fuel cock.
– Switch off the ignition switch.
– Allow for the device to cool down.
NOTICE! Machine damage!
To
clean the spark plug only use wire
brushes with brass bristles. Bristles
made from any other material will
damage the electrode!
NOTICE! Machine damage!
Only
screw the spark plug into place when
the motor is cold.
