Unpacking and assembly

Unpacking

Unpacking the device and checking for complete-
ness. 

Scope of supply

Assembly

Assemble protective housing.

– Insert the protective shield (8) and tighten it on

the device with the screw (9).

– Remove transport protection from cutting

knife (10).

Attaching the cord head

– Tighten cutting head (A) on the device.

Mount front handle

– Tighten front handle (5) using the fixation

screws (11) on the upper end of the product.

Put screwdriver together

– Plug shaft pipe (7) in the latch for the product

part (6) until locking pin (12) is locked.

– Attach the shaft pipe (7) using fastening

screw (13).

Attach carrier belt

– Hook eyelet of carrier belt (4) into the hooks (14) 

as illustrated.

Using for the first time

Check before starting!

Check the safe condition of the device:

– Check whether there are any visible defects.

– Check whether all parts of the product are firmly

attached.

– Check that the safety devices are in faultless

condition.

Operation

Correct posture

Hold the device

• with the left hand on the front handle;
• with the right hand on the operating handle at

approx. hip height;

• balanced in a comfortable position.

– Hold the product firmly in both hands.

– Keeping the switch-on safety lock (3) pressed,

press the on-off switch (2).

• The cutting tool has come into con-

tact with solid objects;

• The sound of the motor changes.

Check the product and have it repaired if 
necessary. Never work with a damaged 
device or cutting tool.
