2.6 Checking the pipeline
Prior to starting up, the pipelines must:
• be cleaned from impurities
• be checked for tightness
• be pressure-tested according to the safety regulations
2.7 Electrical connection
Danger!
Live mains connection!
Electric shocks can kill you.
The electrical connections may only be carried out by
qualified personnel – a trained electrician.
Make sure before connecting the submersible centrifugal pump
type B6 that:
• The values for voltage and frequency given on the nameplate
agree with the data for the mains.
• the power connection is fuse-protected according to the
nominal current of the motor.
• in case of fixed pump connection, the switch is off.
2.8 Checking the direction of rotation
The motor must rotate in the direction indicated by the arrow
(see Fig. 3)
. Otherwise an electrician has to reverse the motor
connections.
3. Operation
3.1 Dry running
The pump is said to run dry if it continues to operate without
pumping any liquid whatsoever. The submersible centrifugal
pump type B6 is not allowed to run dry. Dry running must be
prevented by supervision or technical means such as level or
flow monitoring devices.
4. Maintenance / Servicing
Protect the environment!
Make sure that polluting liquids do not get into the environment
(sewage system, ground etc.) For more detailed information,
pleae contact the responsible administrative authority.
4.1 Cleaning
Flush and clean the pump after pumping aggressive, tacky,
crystallizing or contaminated liquids
. The constant readiness
for operation of the pump is thus assured.
4.2 Leakage of liquid
Provided above the outlet is a port through which liquid can
leak in case of defective seals
(see Fig. 5)
. If a leakage is
detected at this point, the pump must by all means be turned
in for repair.
5. Repairs
Repairs should only be made by the manufacturer or authorized
Lutz-dealers. Only use original Lutz spare parts.
Before sending back the appliance, following must be
observed:
• Residuals in the appliance can cause danger to the
environment and human health. The appliance must be
completely emptied, rinsed and cleaned.
• Please advise which liquid has been pumped. A respective
safety data sheet must be attached to the return consignment.
