Before first use
Carefully unpack the waffle maker and remove all packaging
materials.
Wipe all surfaces with a slightly damp, soft cloth. Never immerse
in water.
To burn off residues on the waffle plates

, it is necessary to
operate the unit for a few minutes before initial use. Do not add
batter or oil during this time.
Set the appliance on a dry, clean, and flat surface.
Plug appliance into 220-240V electrical outlet.
Allow the waffle maker to operate until smoke and odour
dissipate.
NOTE:
Some odour may be produced during initial usage; this is
normal and it should disappear after one or two uses.
Using the waffle maker
NOTE:
The waffle maker is coated with a non-stick surface. Do not
use spray-on oils, grease, or shortening, as they can cause build-up
on the waffle plates

. Use cooking oil instead.
When using the waffle maker for the first time, it is necessary
to condition each waffle plate

. �pen waffle maker, brush the
exposed waffle plate surfaces with cooking oil and close the lid.
The waffle plates

may need occasional reconditioning.
