interface. It contains loopback, failure, received alarm
and transmitted alarm information.

No alarm is present.

Far-end loss of frame.

Near-end sending loss of frame
indication.

Far-end sending alarm indication signal.

Near-end sending alarm indication
signal.

Near-end loss of frame.

Near-end loss of signal.

Near-end is looped.

Indicates that some condition is preventing the port
from being fully operational, such as a loss of signal to
the port; the port is not functioning at its full potential
though it is possible that connections can be made

This channel is not operational because the interface
is not configured.
InService
This channel is capable of receiving and sending sig-
nals.
OutOfService
This channel is not capable of receiving and sending
signals.
