Unpack the new ESM canister.

Set the new ESM canister on a dry, level surface near the storage enclosure.

Save all the packing materials in case you need to return the ESM canister.

Remove the blank plate that covers the location for the new ESM canister ( Figure
A–1 ).

Slide the new ESM canister all the way into the storage enclosure. Rotate the
latches to lock the ESM canister into place.

Connect all of the interface cables from the other storage enclosures to the new
ESM canister. See “
