› To deinstall the automatic hydraulic pump:
– Ensure that the MultiPress S is switched off.
– Remove the mains cable and the data cable from the automatic
hydraulic pump.
– Unsrew the coupling nut of the hydraulic hose and remove the
hose from the pump.
› Unscrew the lid of the filler neck and pull of the measuring stick.
› To drain the oil from the automatic hydraulic pump:
– By tilting the device, pour the oil into a oil catchment tray or
container.
– To meet environmental standards, fill the used oil into a container
adequate for disposal.
› Fill new hydraulic oil in little amounts into the filler neck of the
automatic hydraulic pump. Keep in mind to use only an approved
type of oil (see chapter 8.3.1‚ "Approved hydraulic oils", on page 62).
Note: The tank of the automaitc hydraulic pump has about 1.2 l
volume.
› Make sure that the oil level is in between the markers of the measu-
ring stick (see "Checking the oil-level" on page 60).
› Close the filler neck srewing on the lid and fasten it by hand.
Now you can reinstall the automatic hydraulic pump to the
MultiPress S press (see "Installing the automatic hydraulic pump" on
page 24).
8.3.3 Overhauling the automatic hydraulic pump
To ensure the pressure build-up for the MultiPress S, the automatic
hydraulic pump must be overhauled or replaced after 10 000 hours of
operating. The ovrhauling must only be carried out through service
personell trained by the manufacturer of the pump. Contact the LPKF
Support for overhauling the automatic hydraulic pump.
