Software Upgrade
Software upgrades are an integral part of a successful Freeview program.
OTA UPGRADE
(Freeview OVER THE AIR Service)
From time to time a message will display showing an option to upgrade the software on your set. It is recommended
that you select YES. This will automatically upgrade your software. It may take a few minutes. Do not switch the power
OFF. At the end of the upgrade the unit will automatically have upgraded the software. The unit will need to be re-tuned
to receive all of the available channels. Follow the previous set up guide under MAIN MENU/INSTALLATION/AUTO
SEARCH to re tune all channels.
SCHEDULED UPGRADE
The unit can be set to automatically upgrade itself by setting the menu to UPGRADE in Standby or scheduled mode.
Press MENU button. Use the UP/DOWN/RIGHT/LEFT/OK buttons to navigate to the SETTING/UPGRADE menu.
Press the RIGHT button to enter the OTA upgrade sub menu. Press UP/DOWN/RIGHT/LEFT/OK buttons to set your
desired preferences. Press RETURN/EXIT to exit menu
User can copy the upgrade file onto the USB device and plug into the Set Top Box to perform the software upgrade.
