4.7 Additional safety advices
Training:
The user must be competent and fully able to perform the work with this machine
in a safe and efficient way.
Safety equipment:
Required: Wear the following safety equipment when working:
Safety shoes.
Please note the following risks:
• The user can be stuck when clamping a drum.
• The user can be hit or caught by moving parts, e.g. gripping arms or spindle.
• The user can be hit by falling material or machine parts in case of machine
damage.
• Accident at collision with other machines or lost items.
Always do the following:
• Make sure that the user has read this instruction manual and received
instructions in the use of the machine.
• Make sure that all covers are fitted.
• Before leaving the machine, make sure that the gripping arms are lowered to the
lowest position and the handbrake is activated.
• Check the working area and remove dangerous items, before starting to operate.
• Check that all warning labels are visible and that none of them is missing or
unreadable.
• Follow the instructions of the manufacturer for correct operation.
Never do the following:
• Allow an inexperienced person to operate the machine unattended.
• Use the machine if the electrical or hydraulic system shows signs of damage
• Perform any maintenance or adjustment without lowering the gripping arms.
• Position in the working area of the machine (risk of injury).
• Use the machine for other purposes than those described in this instruction
manual.
