Maintenance Continued
Storage:
Storage at the end of the snow removal season or
between each use requires an inspection of the
snowblower for repairs and general upkeep to
insure it will be ready for future use. Below is a list
of suggestions.
With engine stopped, ignition key removed,
and hydraulic controls disengaged, clean the
snowblower, especially in areas of drive chain,
fan, spout, and auger where it could become
frozen or rusted together and cause damage
when unit is used next time. Be sure to
exercise the “Mandatory Shut-down
Procedure”
,
(section 1, page 1-2) before
attempting any type of cleaning or
maintenance.
Repair or replace worn parts.
Coat moving parts and high wear areas with
oil, especially the chains and lubricate all grease
fitting.
Repaint all parts and areas where the paint has
become removed to prevent rusting.
Store the snowblower in a dry place.
