Adjusting the speaker volume
With
you can adjust the speaker volume during the call in
hands-free or group listening mode. The selected speaker volume
also remains stored after the end of the call.
2.5 Hands-free / Group Listening
In group listening other persons in the room can listen, in hands-
free mode you put down the handset and have your hands free to
make notes for example.
By repeatedly pressing
'
you switch to group listening mode
(once) and hands-free (twice) and back. Switching from normal to
group listening and hands-free mode is shown briefly on the dis-
play. The speaker symbol is also visible in both operating modes.
You end the call by pressing
(
or placing the handset back on the
base station / charging unit.
Notes:

Group listening and hands-free are also possible during inter-
nal calls.

The volume can be set and stored separately in group listening
and hands-free operation.

You can only switch to groups listening and hands-free opera-
tion when the battery symbol has at least one segment.
2.6 Muting the Microphone
If you want to speak to someone in the same room during a tele-
phone conversation without the other person on the phone being
able to hear you:
Press the

key, select the menu item

.
To end muting, press the
TALK
key.
