If the determined values initially indicate that the calculated tangential force is too
great for the respective machine, a lower tangential force can be achieved by chang-
ing the number of workpiece rotations (max. 35).
Drive power and torque
The drive power of the spindle is generally large enough because the thread is created
with several workpiece rotations during the tangential rolling method.
The drive power N is calculated as
