PIR sensor
PIR sensors do not need to be programmed. They
can only communicate via cable.
Function check
After completing installation and programming,
perform a function check according to the instruc-
tion below.
Electric valve
Test the electric valve by using the Open and Close
keys for water on the master unit. The alarm for
a valve fault is activated if the valve moves too
slowly, which may happen the first time the system
is started. Reset any alarms by pressing the Open
or Close keys on the master unit for 5 seconds. The
alarm should stop when the valve is opened and
closed a few times.
PIR sensor
Test a PIR sensor by entering the room in which it
is installed and checking that the water supply is
opened. Leave the room, and check that the water
supply is shut off after the set time on the master
unit.
Leak detector
Test the leak detector by moistening the sensor.
The unit and master unit will set off a visual and
audible alarm and the electric valve should shut
off. Reset the alarm by drying the sensor. Then
briefly press the red button on the underside of
the leak detector. Press the Open or Close key on
the master unit or control panel for 5 seconds to
reset the alarm.
Operating instructions
Installing a LK Water Safety System reduces the
risk of water damage in a property. The system is
controlled and monitored by the master unit. A
leak detector and PIR sensor are connected to the
master unit.
Keys
There are three keys on the master unit used for
controlling the system. When a key is pressed, it
will light up or flash.
Water open (Open)
Indicated by green diode.
Water closed (Close)
Indicated by red diode.
Water shut-off with delay
Not used for PIR setting
Alarm symbols
Alarms from the system are shown by a diode
lighting or flashing, showing the respective sym-
bol on the main unit. Two multi-colour diodes are
mounted on the underside of the leak detector
and input link. An explanatory label can be found
on the cover. The following symbols and diode
colours can be found on the four different units.
Leak detector
Water alarm
(A-alarm)
Indicated by red diode on the control
panel and on the master unit by a
red diode and audible signal. The left
diode flashes blue with an audible
signal on the leak detector.
Max time (A-alarm)
Indicated on the main unit by a red
diode with audible signal.
Valve fault (A-alarm)
Indicated on the control panel by
Open and Timer flashing green and
yellow. On the master unit by a red
diode and audible signal.
