Chapter 5: Configuring the Router

Wireless-G Broadband Router with 2 Phone Ports
WPA RADIUS
This option features WPA used in coordination with a RADIUS server. (This should only be used when a RADIUS
server is connected to the Router.)
WPA Mode
. WPA offers three WPA modes:
WPA
,
WPA2
, and
WPA and WPA2 Mixed mode
. WPA2 is a more
advanced, more secure version of WPA. Select the mode you want your network to use. If you have devices using
WPA and WPA2, select
WPA and WPA2 Mixed mode
.
WPA Algorithm
. If you chose WPA or WPA2, select the algorithm you want to use,
TKIP
or
AES
. (AES is a stronger
encryption method than TKIP.)
If you chose WPA and WPA2 Mixed mode, select the algorithms you want to use,
AUTO for WPA, AES for WPA2
or
AES for both WPA and WPA2
.
RADIUS Server Address
. Enter the IP address of your RADIUS server.
RADIUS Port
. Enter the port number of your RADIUS server.
Shared Key
. Enter the key shared by the Router and RADIUS server.
Key Renewal Timeout
. Enter the Key Renewal Timeout period, which tells the Router how often it should change
the encryption keys.
When you have finished making changes to this screen, click the
Save Settings
button to save the changes, or
click the
Cancel Changes
button to undo your changes. For help information, click

.
