AUTOMATIC
The stove automatically switches on and off according to the weekly
program (see the timer menu).
Press ENTER to confirm, or cancel the setting by pressing the function button.
Once the desired option has been selected, the stove will return to the main menu.
The operating mode can also be switched from automatic to manual by pressing the button,
the following message will be shown on the display:
and then the daily program.
STARTING THE HOT-AIR STOVE
Normal operation of the controller installed on the hot-air stove is described below, with
reference to the functions available to the user. The following information refers to the
controller fitted with the timer-thermostat option. The programming procedures are then
analysed the subsequently.
Before switching on the stove, the display will be as shown in the
figure
To start the stove:
The stove is switched on manually by pressing and holding P3 (ON/OFF) for a few seconds.
The same button is used to switch the stove off. A complete cycle usually comprises five
distinct phases (ignition, flame stabilisation, normal operation, economy and shutdown), which
alternate depending on the flue gas temperature measured and certain other parameters.
Ignition phase
Ignition starts by pressing and holding P3 (ON/OFF) for a few seconds. The procedure begins
with activation of the glow plug (heater) and continuous feeding of pellets by the screw. The
messages
“
IGNITION",
“
PELLET FEED
”
and
“
AWAITING FLAME
”
will be shown on the display
in succession. After about 45 seconds, the gearmotor stops and the flue gas exhaust fan is
activated (at a predefined speed). Once the pellets have ignited and the flue gas temperature
reaches 50°C, the glow plug switches off and the flame is stabilised. The ignition phase ends
when a temperature of 65°C is reached, however for safety reasons and to safeguard the glow
plug, there is a maximum time of 15 minutes, after which if the pellets do not ignite, the display
will show the
“
FAILED IGNITION
”
alarm.
