Test the Valves
Once all the nodes are communicating and GPS data is being received, test the valves as follows:
1. With the system in full operation and pressurized, ensure the VRI system is activated and all nodes are con-
nected.
2. Go to the “Test” tab on the VRI main controller.
3. Set the “Period” to 10 seconds (use the up arrow) and set “Rate %” to 50% (use the up arrow).
4. Select the “Enable Pulse Mode” check box. This will start pulsing the valves.
5. Observe each node along the entire system and watch the valves for proper operation. The valves should
pulse in the sequence of D, C, B then A and repeat this sequence. If the valves do not follow this proper se-
quence, refer to the Troubleshooting Section for correcting.
Check the Speed Control Circuit (For BASIC and Pivot Control Only)
1. From the VRI Control panel, set the VRI mode switch to “Full VRI”.
2. Set the machine speed to 100% at the Main panel.
3. The VRI main controller will now control the machine’s speed. The time that it is moving will be determined by
the plan being used. The “Speed Control Relay” LED on the system main panel will illuminate when activated
and the machine should begin to move.
A manual check that by-passes the VRI plan can be carried out as well:
• Select the “Test” tab.
• Select “I/O Testing”
• Select the “OUT8” output
• Press “Update”
Final Step
Once all preceding checks are successful, the VRI system is correctly installed and should function as intended.
The final step is to have a custom VRI plan created. The customer will need to install the FieldMAP software, sup

plied with the system, on their personal computer in order to create the plan. Instructions for installing, registering
and using Field Map software can be found in the “Field Map Instruction Booklet” supplied with the VRI system.
