COURSE OF ACTION

contact the Lincoln Electric Service Department for technical troubleshooting assistance before you proceed.
Call 1-888-935-3877.
CAUTION
Engine will not go to high idle
when attempting to weld or when
the auxiliary power is loaded.
Welding output and auxiliary
power output is normal when Idler
Switch (S3) is in “HIGH” position.
1. Make sure the welding cables
and connections are tight.
2. Automatic idler may not function
if the auxiliary power is loaded
to less than 150 Watts.
1. Check for broken or faulty
connections in the sensing
leads (#254). Make sure their
connections are tight at the
Electrode Terminal and also at
the Polarity Switch. See
Wiring Diagram.
2. Check lead #3 and #6, making
sure they are looped 2 turns (in
opposite directions) through
the current sensor on the
Printed Circuit Board.
3. The Printed Circuit Board may
be faulty. Replace.
