NOTE
•
Every time you change the value in the
are required to enter a new value also in
register.
•
Using the ROUND LOOP function it is also possible to change the
counting direction of the encoder, by setting the
correspondingly.
Parallel Mode
This register sets the code of the parallel output and the input source of the
converter, according to the following table:
Parallel Mode
Parallel output
Data source
0
Binary format
SSI encoder
1
Gray format
2
BCD format
3
Binary format
Serial RS-232 interface
4
Gray format
5
BCD format
Linearisation Mode
This register sets the linearisation mode.
0
Linearisation off, registers P1 to P16 do not affect the output
characteristics.
1
Linearisation in a range of 0 – 100%.
2
Linearisation over full range –100% to +100%.
See examples in the section “10 – Scaling and linearisation functions“ on page
53.
Linear In
This is the original max. value provided by the input source. In the example of
page 53 (see paragraph “10.2.2 Converting the SSI encoder data to the parallel
output using both scaling and linearisation“) the input source is a 16-bit SSI
encoder that delivers 2
16
information, i.e. 65,536 information. Input data needs
to be converted into a 0 – 10,000 range at output. Thus
= 10,000.
