painting, wallpapering or using adhesive and aerosols. High con-
centrations of the following substances can damage the sensor
and cause frequent false alarms: methane, propane, isopropyl
butane, butane, ethylene, ethanol (alcohol), isopropanol, benzol,
toluol, ethyl acetate, hydrogen, hydrogen sulfate, and sulphur dioxide.
Aerosols, alcohol products, paint, solvents, adhesives, hairspray,
after shave, perfume and certain cleaners may also cause damage.
REPLACING THE BATTERY
If the CO detector sounds a short alarm and the green LED flashes,
the battery is getting low. It should be replaced promptly. The alarm
will sound for about 7 days. A new battery has an expected life of
about one year. If the green LED does not flash once a minute,
please replace the battery.
- Remove the battery from the battery compartment.
- Press the test button to discharge the remaining voltage.
- Install new batteries (3x LR6 1.5V alkaline).
PLEASE NOTE THE POLARITY.
- First allow the detector to warm up for 2 minutes.
- Test your CO detector per section „TEST YOUR CO DETECTOR“.
