This LG Service Manual, “36 inch Ceramic Glass Radiant Cooktop,” provides the technician
with information on the operation and service of the Ceramic Glass Radiant Cooktop. It is to
be used as a training Service Manual. For specific information on the model being serviced,
refer to the “Owner’s Manual” or “Tech Sheet” provided with the Radiant Cooktop.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Repairs of the appliance should be carried out by a authorized service technician only.
Incorrect repairs may result in dangerous situations. If you need repairs, contact an LG
Service Center or your dealer.
• If the power cord is defective, it must be replaced by a qualified service agent with a UL
listed 150°C AWG 8 wire or one with a higher grade.
• Electrical leads and cables should not be allowed to touch the cooktop.
• Rating plate is located on the bottom side of cooktop.
• The power supply of the appliance should be turned off when it is being repaired.
WARNING:
To avoid risk of severe personal injury or death, disconnect power before
working/servicing on appliance to avoid electrical shock.
WARNING:
For your safety, the information in this manual must be followed to minimize
the risk of fire, electric shock, or to prevent property damage, personal injury,
or death.
WARNING:
• Unit must be disconnected from electrical supply before servicing.
• Replace all parts before operating.
• RECONNECT all grounding devices.
- Failure to do so can result in severe personal injury death or electrical shock.
• The interior parts will be very hot.
