Bundling Piping
Pipe Bundling
See Figure 31 for proper pipe and cable bundling. Note the placement
of the piping along with the necessary insulation material.
1. Be sure to wrap each pipe with proper insulation material.
2. Secure the piping by wrapping vinyl tape around the pipe. Use the
narrow size tape for wrapping the actual pipe.
3. You can include the drain hose in the bundled piping and wrap all of
them together using the wider vinyl tape as shown in Figure 32. The
end of the drain hose outlet must be routed above ground.
Indoor Unit Installed Above Outdoor Unit
1. Refer to Figure 33 while following the procedures below.
2. Tape the piping, drain hose and connecting cable from down to up.
3. Secure the taped piping along the exterior wall using pipe
clamps.
4. Create trap above the electrical connections cover to prevent water
penetrating electrical components and wiring.
Indoor Unit Installed Below Outdoor Unit
1. Refer to Figure 34 while following the procedures below.
2. Tape the piping, drain hose and connection cable from down to up.
3. Secure the taped piping along the exterior wall using pipe
clamps.
4. Create trap above the electrical connections cover to prevent water
entering the room.
