ENGINE HOOD RELEASE LEVER
Use the engine hood release lever to check that the latch
operates properly. Ensure that the engine hood opens and
closes smoothly.
BRAKE FLUID LEVEL
Visually check the fluid level through the reservoir. If the
fluid level is low, replenish the brake fluid reservoir with
FMVSS No. 116 DOT 3, FMVSS No. 116 DOT 4 or
SAE J1703 brake fluid and check for fluid leaks. Brake fluid
level should be at the “MAX” line (within 0.2 inches [5.0
mm] below).

ENGINE OIL LEVEL (ENGINE NOT
RUNNING)
a) Remove the engine oil level dipstick and wipe it clean.
Reinsert the dipstick and pull it out to check the oil level.
The level should be between the two marks.

b) Check the oil for dirt or impurities.
NOTE:
If the oil level is low, add specified engine oil and check
for oil leaks.
