The Advanced Options button provides users with the
following image enhancement options: ADF Skew Fix,
Advanced Duplex, Advanced Imaging, Create Booklet,
Cover Page Setup, Custom Job, Edge Erase,
Header/Footer, Margin Shift, Overlay, Paper Saver, and
Separator Sheets
.
One of the most unique functions on the Lexmark X792
series is the Paper Saver option. This option offers users
the ability to copy and scale down single-sided documents
so that multiple documents fit on each side of a page.
Users can choose between 2 on 1 Portrait, 4 on 1 Portrait,
2 on 1 Landscape, 4 on 1 Landscape, and the option of
printing a border around each scaled down page.
The Home screen on the control panel can be customized
and arranged so that only certain options are displayed.
The Home screen with e-mail, FTP and fax shortcut
functions removed.
The right side of the control panel contains various hard
keys, including keys for “Start” (Green), "Stop” (Red X),
and Home, as well as a numerical keypad for entering
number of copies and fax numbers.
Users can scan documents directly to a File Transfer
Protocol (FTP) server.
Users can only scan documents to a single FTP address at
a time. Once an FTP destination has been configured by
the network administrator, the name of the destination
becomes available as a shortcut number, or it is listed as a
profile under the Held Jobs icon.
