Controller Board Service Note
Earlier level printers may have a ROM Code SIMM plugged into the
Controller Board. Later level printers will have the Code soldered on
the Controller Board in position U11. The Controller Board FRU will
contain the later level board with the soldered on code. The ROM
Code SIMM is not available as a FRU.

1 Envelope Guide Be sure the envelope guides have been turned
to the envelope load positions.
Be sure the envelope guides are against the
envelopes.

“Paper Feed Service Check”
on page 2-9

FRU Action
1 EOF Flag Check the flag for binds or damage.
2 EOF Sensor Check the sensor for dirt.
3 Engine Board Perform the “EOF Sensor Test” on page 3-3
to check the EOF sensor on the engine board.
4 Feed Arm
Assembly Check all parts of the feed arm assembly for
binds, wear, or damage.
