Function Name:
MAC Table Maintenance
Function Description:
This function can allow the user to set up the processing mechanism of MAC
Table. An idle MAC address exceeding MAC Address Age-out Time will be
removed from the MAC Table. The range of Age-out Time is 10-800 seconds,
and the setup of this time will have no effect on static MAC addresses.
In addition, the user also have the right to decide enabling or disabling “Stop
learning while CPU is busy” function based on the usage of the switch. This
setup will influence the amount of packets flooding inside of the switch while
CPU is busy. The default age-out time is 300 seconds.
Parameter description:
Aging Time:
Delete a MAC address idling for a period of time from the MAC Table,
which will not affect static MAC address. Range of MAC Address Aging
Time is 10-800 seconds. The default Aging Time is 300 seconds.
Flush:
Remove all entries that do not belong to the static Mac Entry from the
MAC Table.
