You can only connect an Ethernet cable to this connector.

HDMI port
Use the HDMI port to connect a compatible digital audio device or video monitor such as an HDTV.
6 USB 3.0 connectors
Connect a USB 1.1, 2.0, or 3.0 device, such as a USB printer or a digital camera.
Note: When you attach a USB cable to the connector, make sure that the USB mark is facing upward.
Otherwise the connector might be damaged.

plug to the combo audio jack.
