Troubleshooting steps
The following steps and tools can help resolve an issue:
• Use Lenovo XClarity Administrator to check all nodes and switches health status.
• Verify the LEDs on the servers and switches to check the health status.
• Use ENOS commands to check RackSwitch G8052 switch health status and collect service data.
• Use CNOS commands to check RackSwitch G8272 switch health status and collect service data.
• Verify nodes and switches firmware and CNOS/ENOS level, to ensure they adhere to the Best Recipe.
• Check the network cabling to ensure that it matches the point-to-point diagrams and tables.
• Use the Azure Stack Portal to check Azure Stack health status.
• Determine the last working state before the problem occurred.
Troubleshooting scenarios and tips
The following ThinkAgile SXM issues can often be identified and resolved quickly.
Network connection issues
The following actions can help resolve network connection issues:
• Ensure that the DNS settings are correct.
• Ensure that the border switch settings are correct.
• Check for any errors in the switch configuration file.
• Check the data path. Ping between the next hop interfaces from the RackSwitch G8052 and RackSwitch
G8272 switches.
• Check the gateway. Each switch in the solution should be able to ping the point-to-point links and IP
addresses of the other switches.
• Test the connection between the server host nodes and the network devices. Ping from the server nodes
to the network devices and towards the uplink to the external network.

Lenovo XClarity Administrator cannot find one or more nodes in the rack
Ensure that all the components in the rack are connected according to the point-to-point diagrams and
tables.
Cannot open the server IMM login page
Ensure that the IMM IP settings match those on the deployment worksheet.

Use Lenovo XClarity Administrator to resolve issues that occur with the switches and the servers in your
ThinkAgile SXM product. The Lenovo XClarity Administrator Dashboard displays the current status of all
endpoints that are managed by the Lenovo XClarity Administrator.
