• During the data transfer, do not put your computer into sleep mode and do not perform any installation or
removal actions. Otherwise, your data could get damaged.
• Do not remove a smart card while the computer is in sleep mode. Otherwise, the system might not
respond when you try to resume operation.
• Stop all the activities involving the card before removing it. Otherwise, data on the card might be
damaged or lost.
To install a flash media card, do the following:
1. Locate the media-card slot on your computer. See “Left-side view” on page 3.
2. Make sure that the card is correctly oriented, and then insert the card into the media-card slot.
To remove a flash media card, do the following:
1. Click the Launcher icon in the lower-left corner of the screen, and then open the Files app.
2. Click the triangular icon on the right side of the flash media card to eject it.
3. Press the card to eject it from your computer. Remove the card and store it safely for future use.
Note:
If you do not remove the card from your computer after you eject the card from the Chrome OS
operating system, the card can no longer be accessed. To access the card, you must remove it first,
then insert it again.
