Laying the cable

Tighten the screws carefully in order to avoid damage or malfunctions.
Insert the speed sensor carefully into the mounting device. Ensure that the index pin
slides into the bore provided.
4. Insert and secure the speed sensor with 2
screws, washers and spring washers.
5. Tighten both screws with a maximum torque of
25 Nm.

Note the minimum bending radius to avoid damaging the connection cable
if bent too sharply (see
Lay the cable while taking the notes on electromagnetic compatibility into account

).
Secure the cable as required to the mounting device.

Connecting and testing the sensor
Check that all cables have been laid.
Connect the speed sensor correctly in accordance with the connection assignment
(
).
Connect a suitable measuring instrument, for example, an oscilloscope.
Turn the target wheel slowly and observe the output signal on the measuring in-
strument.
If the speed sensor is working correctly, you will see a perfect square-wave signal
(see section
).
