measuring surface and electrically-conductive material passing the sensor. Thus, the
strength of damping changes from tooth to spacewidth.
The integrated electronics transform the change in strength of damping into single- or
dual-channel voltage square-wave signals. All signals are forwarded to the separate
electronics via the connection cable.
The number of pulses (signal frequency) corresponds precisely to the number of teeth
on the target wheel.
The power supply for the speed sensor, the evaluation of the number of pulses, and
the establishment of the control circuit require separate electronics.
