Important Information for Firewall Users
If your installation requires any controller and its corresponding host to communicate through a
firewall, then the firewall must be configured to allow for connections through port 3001 (default).
Note: The default port (3001) can be changed using the ICT. Refer to Integrated Configuration
Tool (ICT) on page 63 .

Configuring Upstream Communications with the Host
1.
Verify that you have a working network.
2.
Loop network cable through the ferrite provided. Refer to figure Installing Ferrite on page 78 .
Ferrite must be installed inside of the enclosure.
3.
Connect the network cable into J10, the Ethernet connector.
4.
Use the Integrated Configuration Tool to set the board to network use. The default for this board
is network so you may only need minimal set up. Refer to
Controller Firmware Tools on page 63 .
