3.2 Connect the Hibiscus to the tractor
Procedure
1. Connect the two lower arms of the 3-point hitch to the linkage pins on
the headstock.
2. Use the tractor hydraulics system to lift the headstock until it is level.
3. Unlock the parking jack, swing up the parking jack to the highest
position and lock it in this position.
4. Remove the wheel wedges and attach them to the support behind the
warning sign at the rear of the Hibiscus.
The first time you connect the Hibiscus to each tractor, refer to the
instructions supplied with the PTO shaft and make sure the minimum and
maximum overlap of the two parts of the PTO shaft is correct.
Always connect the safety chain of the PTO shaft to a rigid part of the
tractor.
5. Make sure the Hibiscus PTO shaft telescopes smoothly.
6. Connect the Hibiscus PTO shaft to the tractor PTO shaft.
The maximum pressure of the tractor hydraulic system must not be
more than 21.0 MPa (210 bar).
7. Remove the dust caps from the two 1/4" BSP hydraulic hoses.
8. Connect the two 1/4" BSP hydraulic hoses to the double-acting
hydraulic valve on the tractor.
9. Remove the dust cap from the 3/8" BSP hydraulic hose.
10. Connect the 3/8" BSP hydraulic hose to the single-acting hydraulic
valve on the tractor.
11. If the independent rotor lift (system III) is available:
a. Remove the dust cap from the 3/8" BSP hydraulic hose.
b. Connect the 3/8" BSP hydraulic hose to the single-acting
hydraulic valve on the tractor.
12. Connect the lighting electrical cable to the correct socket on the
tractor.
13. Make sure all the lights on the Hibiscus operate correctly.
