About the Leica SmartTouch™

The Leica SmartTouch™ external control unit 
makes a variety of tasks easier, combined with 
an easy-to-understand and well-organized user 
interface. Control the zoom, focus, and camera. 
Move the stage with the specimen, restore 
the test conditions at the touch of a button or 
change the filter for fluorescence images. All 
that and much more will be possible with the 
Leica SmartTouch™.

Controlling the Leica TL5000 Ergo

While interacting with the Leica TL5000 Ergo 
transmitted light base, the Leica SmartTouch™ 
controls the intensity of illumination, the cont-
rast method as well as the opening and posi-
tion of the aperture. But above all, you can save 
settings and restore them later at the touch 
of a button. This way you obtain reproducible 
conditions and consequently have maximum 
assurance in your experiments.
