4.1 Components

4.3 Function
The camera, mounted on a video adapter, takes images from a
surgical microscope.
The control unit both configures the camera settings and provides
the interface to the monitoring and documentation systems, e.g.
computer, recorder, etc.
The signals are simultaneously output to the different peripheral
devices.
The camera can be operated by the control unit or by remote
control.
4.3.1 Supported Video Signals
The control unit can simultaneously output the following video
signals:
• HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) – for fully digital
transmission of video signals
• 3G HD-SDI (High Definition Serial Digital Interface) – for
transmission of uncompressed video signals for HD, according
to the SMPTE 424M standard
• VIDEO / BNC – analog video signal, particularly suitable for
environments susceptible to faults
